Abstract

This study, prepared by examining the anatomical features of D. davisiana, which is an endemic species for Türkiye within genus Digitalis, aims to contribute to the taxonomy of the genus. In the anatomical studies of D. davisiana, cross-sections of the stem, leaf, and midrib were taken, and the Fastgreen and safranin staining methods were used. Afterwards, samples were prepared as fixed preparations, and photographs were taken. There is a cortex layer consisting of 9-12 rows of thick-walled cells. Following the sclerenchyma layers, 4-5 layer vascular bundles are observed The leaf is bifacial, with palisade and spongy parenchyma cells scattered and abundant intercellular spaces. The vascular bundle is surrounded by a sheath of parenchymatous cells.
