Abstract

This paper investigates the free vibration responses of sandwich composite plates, employing a
high-level programming language code based on Mindlin’s first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT)
to model the plates. Initially, the validity of the proposed model is established, demonstrating favorable
convergence. Subsequently, several numerical examples are solved and discussed Investigate the impact
of parameters such as thickness ratio, aspect ratio, boundary conditions, and number of layers on natural
frequencies. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of FSDT in predicting the dynamic behavior of
sandwich composite plates with low computational cost.
