This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the ransomware attack on the Slovak Cadastral
Portal in January 2025. We examine the attack's technical aspects, potential motives, and economic impacts,
employing quantitative methods to assess the extent of the damage and the potential cascading effects on
the Slovak economy. We also discussed the government's response options and the importance of robust
cybersecurity measures for critical national infrastructure.
