The advent of Artificial Intelligence [AI] offers promising new avenues for various mental
health conditions such as anxiety and depression. This study synthesizes various research findings to
explore AI's role in depression and anxiety. Through an extensive literature review and critical synthesis,
this meta-synthesis examines the effectiveness, challenges, and future prospects of AI applications in
treating or diagnosing anxiety and depression. The findings reveal that AI-assisted interventions can
provide significant benefits, including accessibility, affordability, and personalized care. However,
challenges such as ethical considerations and the need for human interaction persist. This study advocates
for a balanced integration of AI into mental health services, underscoring the importance of further
research to optimize AI's potential in this field.
