Abstract

This report presents the management of a preterm neonate born at 33 weeks of gestation with a
constellation of congenital anomalies, including hydrops fetalis, Down syndrome, tracheoesophageal
atresia (TEA), and other complications. The neonate underwent intensive care interventions, such as
mechanical ventilation, surgical procedures, and metabolic stabilization. The case underscores the
challenges inherent in treating preterm infants with complex medical needs and highlights the critical role
of a multidisciplinary team in optimizing outcomes. Specific strategies and interventions employed in this
case are detailed, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis, coordinated care, and a tailored
approach in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
